The Site Audit page within the Project Dashboard's optimization center displays a summary of your site's SEO and AEO settings (Note that "Site Audit" was previously named "SEO Overview"). From the Site Audit page, you can fix issues to improve your site's ranking in traditional and AI search results.
If you are in the editor, click SEO/AEO in the side panel. This takes you to the Site Audit page.
Or, from the project dashboard, click the Project Dashboard icon next to the desired site in the Project Click Performance, then expand the Optimization Center section and select Site Audit.
Currently, there are four different status types in the Site Audit:
-
High Priority. Indicates an issue of utmost importance that demands immediate attention. (Displayed in red)
-
Medium Priority. Suggests issues of moderate importance that should be addressed when time permits. (Displayed in orange or yellow)
-
Optimized. Confirms that everything is set up correctly with no issues to fix. (Displayed in green)
-
Notice. Offers recommendations to enhance the site's SEO, though not mandatory. For example, if you do not have local business schema or a blog, they are assigned a 'Notice' status. (Displayed in grey)
The Blog Content Freshness category helps keep your blog up-to-date by identifying outdated posts and recommending the next best action to improve SEO and AEO.
You will be prompted to take action in the following scenarios:
-
No blog installed
-
No blog posts created
-
Blog posts over 3 months old
-
No recent publishing activity
Depending on the issue, clicking Fix It will either prompt you to install a blog, generate a blog post using AI, or display a filtered list of blog posts that need to be updated.
In the SEO/AEO section, you can manage the external and internal links on your site. The Internal Links section shows all the links of internal pages on your site. The External Links section shows all the external links on your site.
Note

The Image Alt Text page lists the images on your site with their alt text, so you can add or change alt text in one place instead of image by image.
To open Image Alt Text:
-
On your dashboard, click the Project Dashboard icon for the site.
-
Click Performance, then expand Optimization Center and select Image Alt Text.
You can also open it by clicking View Details next to Image Alt Text in the Site Audit, or by clicking All Alt Text in an image's settings in the editor.
Use the tabs or the search bar to find images. To see only images on pages that search engines index, select Indexed only.
To add or change alt text for an image, type in its Alt text field, or click the Sparkle icon to have the AI Assistant write it. To have alt text written for several images at once, click Generate Alt Text, then select Generate Missing Alt Text Only or Generate Alt Text for All Images.
Warning
Generate Alt Text for All Images replaces alt text that's already set, including alt text you wrote yourself. To keep existing alt text, select Generate Missing Alt Text Only.
Republish your site to apply the changes.
